An event full of encounters, knowledge & community
Exhibition halls have their own energy: as soon as you enter, you can feel that something special is happening here. People with diabetes, relatives, diabetes consultants, doctors, scientists and companies come together to exchange experiences, learn new things and discuss future topics. Of course, Hyporest couldn't be missing there - for the first time not only with our regular trade fair crew Julius and Konstantin, but also with the active support of Laura. And: Also in the Hyporest shirt directly at the stand with us – Influencer Sabrina aka anirbas_typeone, which many in the community already know from Instagram. Sabrina admits that Hyporest has become an integral part of her everyday life - and names the moments in which she begins to experience it Hypo with the pink mini tablets, lovingly “refueling”.
Specialist lectures, everyday tips and personal insights
At the same time, there were three series of lectures with more than 25 contributions: from the latest developments in insulin pumps and CGM systems Closed-Loop approaches to questions about nutrition, exercise and motivation right down to the topics Resilience and acceptance. We found the reports from people with diabetes particularly valuable. Not only was technology discussed, but also real everyday situations - from traveling with diabetes to mental strength and dealing with stigma. For us it was clear Reminder, why community exchange is so important.
The industrial exhibition – innovation you can touch
The large industrial exhibition opened at 9 a.m. with over 30 stands. There you could see everything that is currently moving in diabetology: smart apps, modern pumps, CGM systems, new therapy concepts - and right in the middle of it all we are with Hyporest.
Our stand in the iconic color attracted curious looks - and conversations quickly ensued. Many visitors already knew Hyporest, and many congratulated us on the first place that the innovative product was awarded at the German Diabetes Society's start-up competition in Berlin. Others were quickly taken by the concept Dextrose without taste convincing: an alternative for everyone who doesn't always turn to sweets when they need quick carbohydrates, but wants to consciously control their sugar consumption - without the sweet reward effect and the associated temptation to snack more than they actually planned. For many people with diabetes, this is the first time they have the opportunity to bypass the sweets department in the supermarket - and not have the constant temptation on the kitchen table. Another topic that came up frequently: that with Hyporest there is no direct sugar contact with the teeth - an aspect that many at the stand found to be a small revolution.
In addition to the product samples that were tested directly, the conversations were primarily about everyday experiences: how many people deal with the same topics – and how valuable it is to have a choice.
Hyporest in the middle
For us as a team, this day at the trade fair was more than just an appointment in the calendar. It was a place where community came alive. Julius and Konstantin had exciting conversations, Laura confidently made her trade fair debut, and Sabrina made many smiling faces at the stand. The feedback, questions and openness of the visitors showed us once again how important encounters “in real life” are – even in a time when a lot of things take place digitally.
Our conclusion
The trade fair not only imparted knowledge, but also gave motivation. It showed how great the diversity of perspectives is in the diabetes world - scientific, technical, personal. For Hyporest it was a day full of energy, exchange and inspiration. And it is clear to us: the exchange about alternatives such as Dextrose without taste will continue to gain in importance.
